Bluegrass Consulting: Jamie Harbison Executive Producer, SHIFT Interactive

having set up live streaming events in sydney and london’s’ first internet cafes in the mid/late-nineties, Jamie’s knowledge goes back to the beginning of the popular rise of the Internet.  He graduated from UTS with a communications degree majoring in media arts production  in 2001.

Jamie cut has teeth as the front end web developer at zdnet and gamespot Australia, two of  Australia‘s highest-traffic, and largest sites.  he then moved onto freelancing, working on a range of online projects with liquidvision, Leo Burnett(ileo), Onedigital, Netx, ABC TV, Channel 7 (i7), Trilliance, Guidedogs Association of Australia, amongst others.

In 2002 he set up Shift Interactive as a platform for evolving online software and technologies, forging into the web 2.0 field, with a strong social media and social networking focus. Shift Interactive have developed various sophisticated multimedia-friendly CMS solutions, designed viral flash games, created extensive interactive online members areas, developed sophisticated seo strategies for some of Australia’s top internet players.

Working on some of Australia’s largest networking sites, including zdnet, gamespot, rush tv and ABC TV, has given Jamie an insight into what works and what doesn’t in the field of cross-platform, interactive usability.
